BOTTOM BASE IS 3-1/8" DIAMETER

Are that breaks inside, all around?  If yes, I would stay away. A restored item has perhaps a quarter or third of the original value, but with a republic item that would have little collecting value remaining. My personal view.

Hey Peterp,

Nothing is wrong with the bowl, the seller just had some glue and stuff on it. Its a pretty big bowl.

What do you think about it? Its for $80 usd, I think its a fair price

This is a republic bowl correct? Were these mostly for exports? I assume this is more for the commoners

No, this is not export. Here in Taiwan the locals do not like to buy damaged items, unlike many in the west. I restored some of them myself, but now think it is not worth the trouble. 80 for something broken like that is too much in my view, even if it was late Qing. Any professional restoration would cost a multiple of that, probably.
