As far as I know this is probably after 1950, but not sure when exactly. The second character is either 國 or 国, but it is not clear which. If it is the later it is most likely from the People's Republic, if it is the former there is a slight chance that it Republic Period, that is a bit earlier. This would be possible if it is found on an export item.
It is recommende that you upload pictures of the item, because that may tell us more.

Hi Joseph, Just the bottom by itself tells us it is from the 60's or later, the mark is not legible, but most marks in general are spurious.
