Title: Chinese footed plate
Post by: Adriano on Oct 08, 2020, 18:19:22
I bought recently this plate, and I would like to have comment on it.
It is in Qianjiang style with typical bird and flowers palette.
My doubt is for period: is it late Qing or early republic?
May be that calligraphy and mark can help.

Thank you,
Adriano

Late Qing, Guangxu reign, I would say. '黃福興號' Huangfuxing is a well known porcelain manufacturer among many active from the late Qing dynasty to early republic period. Yes late Qing Qianjiang style, age signs are clear.
