Title: JAR MARK AND PERIOD OF JIAJING???
Post by: abderrahim on Jul 29, 2020, 06:36:03
Hello, I don't remember the response I got regarding this Jar, but I know it is a fake JIAJING jar.
What are the signs that show it's a fake and also I'm looking for pictures of a JIAJING jar  that looks like the one I have to make a difference and learn more.
Thank you so much.

This is a modern item. Not a traditional shape, both body and neck. The decoration is not a conventional style either and the Wanli mark is apocryphal.

The round indent in the bottom and the mark are probably signs that this was made via mass production, possibly using machine injection.
