Title: Famille Rose Charger - genuine?
Post by: JjGhandi on Jun 12, 2020, 20:42:26
Hello everyone,

What are your opinions on this famille rose charger?

Could this be Yongzheng?

the gilt seems quite new and the enamels on it are so thick in my opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

JJ

Hey Stan,

Thanks for your reply.
I don't know how thick it is yet. I'm planning on buying it but I wasn't really sure about the age.
Meanwhile I have found some Qianlong plates with the same thickness in enamels online.

So I'm assuming Qianlong is a good indication. I'll post some more pics if I'm able to buy it.

Regards,

Jj

The crimson color was used only from the Yongzheng reign forward. Decorations underneath the rim were used predominantly in the Kangxi reign (in blue), but cannot be excluded later. Thus, Yongzheng or Qianlong fencai ware.
