Hello,

you are right, this is japanese, but not antique in my eyes. The decoration is inspired from japanese imari "black ship nanban", made in late 19./early 20.century. It has something to do with an oversea trade route betweeen Europe (esp. Portuguese and Dutch) and Japan.

The pieces from late 19./early 20.century looks different and have another mark and handpainted. These here seems to be printed.
