Hello, everybody.
I was looking for a catalog of Korean marks of porcelain on the Internet, I did not find it. Tell me, does such a directory exist at all?
Thank you.
Maybe in Korean? :-)
There isn't much information on Korean porcelain available online it seems. And, antique Korean ceramics seem seldom to be marked; that seems to be valid for both the Goryeo and the Joseon period. The marks I have seen were virtually all from artisans living in 20th century.
Thank you, Peterp.
If you have a mark, please post it here. Perhaps we can find it. FYI, Korean marks are usually written in Chinese characters, not Korean ones. And they seem to be mostly artisan's marks. You are welcome to upload pictures of Korean ceramics too...
