Hello,
I have this 5 1/2" in diameter bowl which was another thrift shop find. I always pick these up when I see them if they look interesting and you just never know what they might be. It's an unusual color combination. The outside is a mottled red oxide color. The interior is a dark jade green with crazing. The finish on the whole piece is a bit textured like orange peel. It feels denser and heavier as well. Not glassy and light like porcelain. No marks on the bottom. It's in perfect condition as well. Thanks for your help and expertise -Mike-
Anything with this type of green glaze is practically new. I think that is a chemical color glaze.
BTW, the strong waves or wrinkles on the inside bottom are also a sign that it is more recent.
Thanks again Peter. I thought the crazing on the inside and not all over was a bit odd.
