Any thoughts on the age and authenticity of this blue and white bowl? Thanks!
Cheers,

Looks pretty good to me as authentic, but a hands on inspection is needed to verify.
That is Guangxu mark and period.
Thanks for the response Stan. Any particular reason why you believe the bowl to be authentic? At least from what you've seen in the photographs. Would love to learn more about what to watch out for.
My opinion is the same as Stan's...looks good and, if a hands-on inspection confirms it is genuine, they might even tell you that it could be imperial quality.
Peter that was my impression as well " imperial " it has all the bells and whistle that I learned from you.
Charles, the shape, the decoration, the color, the mark and the foot plus the quality, all these look right.
Thank you for all the pointers!
Hello. These two bowls look very similar to the bowl I posted about earlier in the summer. The diameter of the bowls is 5.5 inches. Do these bowls appear to be authentic mark and period?

Here is a link to similar bowls that were sold at auction by Sotheby's. The diameter is a bit smaller though.

Any insights would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Charles, these bowls look good to, but I will say there are so many of these types of bowls that are high quality fakes that are being made that you really need a hands on inspection, everything looks right but these bowls if authentic would be imperial and very rare, the odds of coming across such bowl frequently is highly unlikely.
