Title: Ming Charger
Post by: haukech on Nov 27, 2019, 06:20:29
Here a rather heavily potteed charger.
Dimensions are approx 30cm wide x 6 cm high.
I doubt about the more precise dating also in regards to the mark in the bottom.

I cannot find this specific pattern, but the underside looks as if it was late Ming dynasty. Probably anywhere from Jiajing to Tianqi.

I have not yet handled so many pieces to take a closer stand on the more concrete date, but for me its about Jiaging and Wanli. Looks like a more provincial product. Would be good to find other items with a similar/same mark.

Similar marks appear on items of the period mentioned. I do not know the rim decoration and cannot read the mark.
