Title: Japanese? Wedding Style Candlesticks
Post by: tipton444 on Oct 17, 2019, 02:19:46
Hello friends,

Are these Japanese?  The pierced center reminds me of Chinese wedding lamps, and so does the phoenix on top, but the decoration does not.  The person I bought them from said they were from the Philippines...that isn't right is it?  I couldn't find another pair like them so I just don't know.  They are signed, if someone can read what it says that would be so helpful.  Also, how old?  I'm not expecting them to be anything spectacular I just liked them.  Thanks!!

These are Japanese, the Mark is Kutani, looks like they would be from the 60's or later.
