Title: Unknown mark
Post by: haukech on Jul 17, 2019, 15:24:19
Dear All,
Recently I came across a mark i had not seen yet on a number of fairly small items (cups, 2 cm wide max). Only the one in the yellow circle in the picture.
I have found now a similar mark as a part of a group.
Perhaps you could help me to identify further.
Thanks in advance

The whole is the character ? . Auspicious character marks of this type were common in the Ming dynasty

? ?  No, I do not think this exists in marks.
It is the character for field, specifically rice field, but it is also a surname.
