Title: Vase - Republic or later?
Post by: haukech on Jun 17, 2019, 03:10:42
Dear All,
I bought this vase from somebody who had inherited for a fair price.
I have seen other similar designs sold in the region of Belgium (smaller size). This one is a strange collage with 2 pieces joint.
I would very much appreciate if you could help me to define the style and timing.

Possibly republic period but then the mark makes me think later.

Although the faces are not shown in detail, from what is visible the style of the eyes and hairdo look as if they were from the later 20th century. A picture showing some faces close up might make verification possible.

Thank you very much for this valuable information. Enclosed is a detail on the faces. I suppose that this could be Famille Rose group?
