Title: Help identifying blue white bowl
Post by: ast10359@gmail.com on Jul 03, 2014, 04:45:19
Hi, I am new and this is my second post.  I acquired this bowl which is 6" in diameter, 3-1/8" high.  It had an old label on it, probably from the previous collector that read "Ming Dynasty , 15-16 century, Swatow ware, rare reverse color."  I am aware that the term Swatow ware has fallen out of use.  The glaze surface inside and out has an orange peel texture.  The motif of scrolls, flower, leaf is repeated three times around the bowl. Is this Ming? Is it Chinese? How old is it?
