Title: Blanc de Chine Buddha
Post by: Adriano on Mar 22, 2019, 21:37:03
I need help to identify this figurine.
It is 13 cm tall, the color is milk white and there are diffused micro spots of rust.
I wonder if this spots are defects of furnace or signs of age.
On the bottom there are some red points, probably it is what remains of a mark.
The closed bottom is more typical of Japanese origin, I think.

Thank you for any comment,
Adriano

This was apparently made in a mould and is not a carved figurine. In other words it may have been mass produced as long as the mould lasted.
