Title: Tongzhi/ Republic Vase? 24"
Post by: smak on Feb 21, 2019, 22:09:53
Hi all

Need your opinion!

When was this made?
Is this rare for a commoner's porcelain?
Is it hard to find one at this size?
I paid $325, hope I did well on this one.. WHat do you guys think?

Thanks

Judging by the condition of the base and the type of 'ears' this vase could have been fired in the early 20th century. Unfortunately, the decoration looks as if it was added in the late 20th century at the best.
The mouth is a bit oversized compared to late Qing or early republic standard shapes.
