Title: bowl with xuande mark
Post by: konniela on Feb 04, 2019, 15:03:46
Hello everybody,

I wonder, if this bowl can be from xuande period, as the mark will say.  The mark is handpainted, the decoration inside looks like it was used in Ming and I can see some age signs, but I know nothing about the monochrome decoration and the used colour.  I read in one of my books, that pieces like this were copied in 18.century.

Thanks for help

The base, especially the foot rim shape, and the underglaze blue colors of mark and interior decoration do not correspond to that period, in my view.
