Hi Regina, could you post a better picture of the mark, Im not sure that the Chinese marked their items this way I know the Japanese embossed a lot of theirs in this fashion but the Chinese usually signed theirs and in the center.

I can't say for sure but that would be my guess, the mark is illegible, but looks more Japanese than Chinese.

Stan is right, there is no such mark on Chinese porcelain, at least not on traditional, old porcelain.
Please note that this looks as if the decoration was impressed in a mould. Ancient Chinese celadon wares with impressed or appliqu? decorations do not look this way, normally.
