Title: Identification of Glazed Vase
Post by: tipton444 on Jan 28, 2019, 01:03:57
Hello friends,

My friend wanted me to find out more for him on this porcelain vase.  Can anyone tell me what the mark on the bottom is, and what age range it may have?  I'm guessing it is not that old.  Thank you very much.

Hi Tipton, the decoration looks like Japanese Kutani and the mark is made the same way although I could not find the mark in my books on Kutani, usually you would see a Fuku mark.

Great, thank you very much Stan.  Any idea on a possible age?

By the colors used I would say late Meiji to early Taisho period .
