Title: Chinese Four character mark

Was thinking about buying this vase late Qing?
Missing lid I now.

Hi Calder, the mark says made during the great Qing dynasty, the mark is a little off centered which is usually not a good sign for period, a nice looking vase though, I would like to see the lions or what ever they are on the sides, do you have a picture of that, thanks calder.

It looks like the mouth of the vase has been cut off.

Shelley is right, this was cut off. Also, please note the (artificially) darkened foot rim. Made sometimes in the 20th century.
