Hi Kardinalisimo, I do not think this is Chinese or Japanese, I think it is Western made in the States some ware, it looks like pottery maybe clay.

Hi Kardinalisimo, my mistake the ones made in the U.S are copies of Majolica made in Italy, the one you have I believe is original Majolica.

Thanks Stan.  I will do some research on Majolica. In fact I already figured that it might be such. Not necessarily Italian but possible.

Majolica was created in Italy, I think the piece that you have is antique majolica from Italy.
