Title: Bowl with lid
Post by: dn1219 on Nov 25, 2018, 02:40:45
Dear  all,

I need your help again to identify the age of bowl with lid.
Maybe Qing dynasty / Guangxu period. I guess it's old and not modern fake.

The clay is a  little bit gray, not white and the glaze has a lot of bubbles inside.
Size of the bowl is 92mm diameter and 52mm height.
Unfortunately the mark is small and cloudy, so difficult to read.
Many thanks in advance.

This is Japanese, and the mark is a copy of a Chinese Ming Chenghua mark, mid Meiji in my opinion.

Dear Stan,

what a surprise and many thanks for the clarification.
Anyway I like the design of the birds and I will keep the bowl in my collection.
