The shape is not right for a traditional Chinese item. The mark consists of auspicious characters and was used in the Ming dynasty, however, the characters were written differently then. The strokes used here are those of the current, modern characters.

Difficult to tell with newer items, but for me the shape could also mean it was not made in China itself.
