Title: Can anyone help? Chinese or japanese?
Post by: love_antiques on Sep 15, 2018, 18:58:00
Hi to all,

I hope you may help me in identifying the origin and maybe age of this bowl.
To me it looks Chinese and quite old, but I cannot find the marks in common pages.

Looking forward to your help - kind regards

No wonder you cannot find the mark. This is the Ming mark "Xuande Nianzhi", but the second character is wrong, although it reads the same as the correct character.  ? --> ? .

Thanks for your quick answer. Does this mean that it is modern / fake?

Normally I would say late Qing, but not sure if this is early republic with this mark.
