Post by: Rec on Aug 02, 2018, 02:49:34
Could this be a klapmuts bowl from kangxi period?
it's about 7 cm high, the bottom diameter is appr 9 cm and the top is 17 cm

Hello Rec.
I would say possibly. The decoration is clearly not Asian but the bowel looks too heavily potted to be Dutch. I am not a Dutch expert and have only one or two pieces. This just looks very thick. I suppose you would have to ask the question. Then where else? So I suppose the Netherlands..Not much help.
Sorry

yes the edge is very thick. Maybe this is not a klapmuts bowl but a bowl used to support something else?
