Is it from the period? The bottom of the interior is crackled.

I would think so...and a very nice specimen too. Mostly, the colors are abraded or otherwise in a bad shape from heavy use.

Thanks for the reply Peter. I find the decoration quite pleasant. There is some rubbing on some areas but I am not sure what is the right term to describe the flaws on the rest of the enamels. Abraded sounds like a good description. Interesting choice for the border - blue on blue ground. I like the whole combination of colors, kind of calming.
