Title: Drum Pot
Post by: kardinalisimo on Jul 28, 2018, 13:42:43
Can someone comment on this piece?
Glaze is off-white color, don't know if that's ok?
The foot rim looks good to me.
The shape, not perfectly round, ovalish at the top. I guess that?s not a good sign?
Not very familiar with the shades of blue, so I don?t know about the color.
The animal, whatever it is, a bit stiff? Not very detailed?
The mark, I?ll leave that to the experts. Just wonder if the ?Qing? part is right? All the authentic early Qing pieces that I find online have extra strokes in the Qing part.
The drain holes, original or drilled later?
Maybe there is more to discuss...
