Title: Chinese Buddha Makers Mark Identification
Post by: geob10 on Jul 28, 2018, 02:14:47
Hello

i wondered if i could get some opinions on the age of this figure as well as the translation of the mark if possible.

i was hoping that it may be a republic period piece but i wasnt sure because the decoration and face looked slightly different than ones i have come across before, however the base does look like it has some age and is similar to pieces dating to the republic period.

he is 25cm high

any help is greatly appreciated

kind regards

George

Made by Zhu Yi-shun.
The above was an artisan known for, a.o., depicting the Budai monk, like this one. Republic period.
