Title: Old Japanese or more recent Chinese?
Post by: Marie on Jun 30, 2018, 06:47:03
Hi all!
I have come across these pieces of pottery. Two unmarked and one with Fuku mark.
I am not sure if they are old Japanese or more recent Chinese.
I would be thankful for any information, opinions you may have.
Cheers

The turquoise glazed one is a tea caddy, from Guangzhou kiln, I think. The middle one is also Chinese, possibly also from a southern kiln. The other one does not look Chinese. No idea what it is.

Thank you Peter. I have just recently started learning about Asian pottery and porcelain. Cheers.
