How old is it? I really don't know. There is some age signs, the glaze is worn a few places like where the rings and ears touch.
Unless there are holes in the lid this can not be a censer.
The shape is not traditional Chinese, nor is the bird in the decoration.
Items of such whiteness would have been made at Dehua kiln, but the clay color is not right for that.
