Qianlong 4 character mark.  Unfortunately not of the period.Very badly written. I think a red 4 character mark can only be from the period  if it is within a double square. But I could be wrong. I know they exist in blue, within or without a double square

Hi Ssbill, yes early republic did have red 4 character marks with out boarders around the mark, and to Abderrahim, it is impossible to tell age without seeing the whole piece plus the entire bottom at an angle and the decoration and any age signs.

About 1940s is more likely than earlier, judging by this dragon.
