Title: Anyone recognize mark?
Post by: BVYABK on May 29, 2018, 00:29:50
This dish was given to my great grandfather as a gift when he visited China in the 1930s, supposedly by Chiang Kai-shek.  Does anyone recognize the mark?  thank you!

This looks like a copy of a Fukagawa plate, the mark suspicious, it looks like they were trying to copy the Mt Fuji mark, that is still being used today, however it could be a studio mark that I have not seen before, double foot looks more modern than the earlier ones I have seen and the decoration also is a copy of Chuji Fukagawa, in my opinion this a is later copy of his work, late 20th century.
