Title: the cup looks old, but the marks are a but strange!

need help. Anyone experienced with a porcelain marks with 801? I doubt it could be a Japanese porcelain. Only I have no experience with such marks. Hope to hear some advice. Thanks.

Looks like a Japanese sake wine cup. Mark with numbers on base in Chinese porcelain are typically within a triangle. And these wares were made between 1960s-1970s.

You didn't mention the dimensions, but this looks like a typical Japanese tea cup, the type you get in restaurants when you eat, not the type used when tea is normally served. Cannot tell the age, but this looks modern.
