Title: Information on this marking
Post by: BarrettBlues on Mar 29, 2018, 03:01:56
Hello, completely new to this.

This has been in the shed for sometime now, always looked at it as a large plant pot, but maybe not. Only recently decided to look into it.

There are two small blue dots also engraved just out of shot.

This is a stamped mark on unglazed porcelain, I can't tell from the photo if this is the bottom that the mark is on, if it us it is generally known to be later in the 20th century.

Thank you Stan!
Any idea on what it says? I can read Hiragana and Katakana but we are obviously not dealing with that here, the only thing I have picked up on is the kanji on the top far right;
Da (great)
I see Qian, top left
Qing,bottom right
and Long, bottom left.

I can see why you could not find this mark, it is written incorrectly, Qianlong marks were never written  like this and it doesn't matter anyway because most marks are spurious.

A picture of  the whole bottom would be nice, but from what I see it looks like 3rd quarter of the 20th century.

All lines/contours of the decoration visible show signs of printing.
