Title: 18th C. or 19th C Brush pot
Post by: williamh on Dec 29, 2017, 12:08:45
These are two celadon brush pots( or washer). They have stickers from a 1860s store from Paris.  I would like to know if they are older. Thanks

Never saw this shape, but the top rim color indicates that it is Qing dynasty at the most, but I got a feeling that it could be Japanese.
And, not a brush pot, but not sure what it was used for. The only item type I know that has a shape similar to this is a type of holder for a small censer or oil lamp.
