Title: Famille Verte Vase 19th Century
Post by: bokaba on Dec 27, 2017, 12:18:33
Is this a 19th Century famille verte Kangxi style vase or is it later? My concerns are that the glaze looks to white, the reds are very strong, and the blue on the base looks too bright in hue.

Thank you

Bokaba

And the shape looks more like Guangxu or later...

Thanks Peter. Do you think this vase is Republic or modern then?

I do not think in the early republic period they did copy Kangxi this way. It is most likely from a later time.
