Title: Phoenix Vase
Post by: williamh on Dec 20, 2017, 13:55:35
These are the only three photos I have of this vase. This is something I found today, I've asked for more photos. Meanwhile can you share your opinion about it?

Need better pics (especially of the bottom), but looks modern. Glaze seems very shiny & too good condition, and particularly concerning is the bottom where it appears a yellow substance (plaster of paris is often used) may have been applied to falsely suggest age.

I am no expert on styles but something about the handles feels off to me, too.

Modern in my view too. Not a traditional Chinese shape, and the Yongzheng mark is written badly.
