Title: Perhaps a qianlong dish?
Post by: ssbill on Dec 01, 2017, 04:33:31
The owner says it is a 18th C. dish bought by his great great grand father. . Is it really a 18th century plate and how collectable  is it?

Hi Ssbill, the bottom looks Chinese 18th century but the front looks like Japanese, not Chinese Imari and the blue color that is pitted looks strange to me, Im thinking it is a Chinese plate that has been redecorated on the front, however it dose not look like any Chinese Imari that I have seen Im not ruling it out, lets see what others say.
