Title: Please help me to identify this chinese bowl
Post by: Barto Darya on Nov 23, 2017, 22:39:26
I wonder why this bowl had unperfect shape on its edge? Was it intentionally made or lack of technique? Did the bottom show a period of time? if yes, from what period?  The specification of this bowl (height x diameter) : 70 mm x 175 mm. Thank you

That is due to the production techniques. But, even items made much later should not normally have a completely even top rim. The latter could mean it was made in the 20th century. This bowl would be about late Ming to early Qing, I think.

Thank yku for the review peter. So i assume this bowl is period and  uneven top rim should not be a problem because the technique in that era was normal to have uneven top rim.
