Title: Monochrome Bottle Vase
Post by: kardinalisimo on May 15, 2014, 09:45:13
Well, not quite monochrome. Dark olive green body and rusty shades/neck. Don't know what is the right term, flamble?
Anyway, I apologize in advance if the piece is not Asian at all. Could be Japanese or made elsewhere.
It is very light weighted. Not sure if I am right but I think there are two vertical seams but I don't see them on the interior. The glaze goes few inches on the inside of the neck. Not sure if those are setter marks on the foot rim. Natural crackles had developed.
Any input is welcomed.
Thanks

Found another one with similar glaze but different shape, base and heavier.
I wonder if these are Chinese at all?

Don't think so, Probably modern.
