Title: I need help to identify this possibly rare vase

I don't have a picture of the bottom yet. It looks old, it has a few small holes in it.  Thanks

This one looks new.
I would recommend not to collect such monochrome items unless you already know more about those with color decorations from the 19th and 18th centuries. They are much more difficult to evaluate, even with experience.
Generally said, many monochrome items are imitations of Song/Yuan dynasty wares made over 600 years ago; but most of these later copies were not even made in the Qing dynasty, but in the last few decades.

Thank you for the advice Peter. Can you recommend me a website where I can see and get familiar with antique chinese porcelain with photos of  thousands of  authentic pieces to study?

I doubt there is one, at least I know of none.
