During my last hunt for ceramics, I stumbled on the following ginger jar. According to the sales person it was one of the older pieces he had available in his collection. After reading the information available on the website, I have doubts about the integrity of the salesperson. Could you please provide me with more information regarding this jar? This is no ginger jar. Lidded jarlets of this type, all with brass rims are frequently seen in recent years. This one has a Shunzhi mark, but is recently made. Not an antique, probably not even vintage.
