Title: Reposting:Blue and white shallow bowl with dragon motif - the age, please
Post by: arnebraat on Aug 31, 2017, 22:22:05
Recently I showd six different items in a couple of posts and was advised to provide better pics and only one item at the time. From the comments I got, I think I will show three of the items again, one by one.
This rather shallow bowl is 20,5 (W) x 4,5 (H), and I believe the painting is depicting two dragons and a flaming pearl. On the outside it ha a mark made after the firing. Is that a owner's mark and how old is this bowl?
Best regards
Arne

Yes, that is an owner's marking.
Late Kangxi to Qianlong, probably, judging by These Pictures. This is called a dragon-over-the-wall decoration in Chinese.
