Title: B/W Plate with Kangxi Mark
Post by: bokaba on Aug 23, 2017, 13:03:22
Dear Members,

I was wondering what the age of this plate might be. It is 9 inches in diameter. It has a Kangxi mark, but I highly doubt it is of the period. I think the hue of the blue underglaze and the type of mark are probably late 19th/early 20th Century. Is this correct?

Thank you

Bokaba

Hi Bokaba, This looks like it could be Kangxi period, from what I understand the 4 character mark was used but not often, the foot rim is at least 18th century.
