Title: Floral "Hand Painted in Japan" Plate
Post by: bokaba on Jul 10, 2017, 08:46:06
Hi Stan,

I came across this floral dish marked "Hand Painted in Japan." I don't think it is very old, but perhaps 1960s? It looks well painted though the outline might be a transfer decoration.

Thank you

Bokaba

supposedly it is hand painted but looks transfer. According to gotheborg this is a Hotta Yu Shoten & Co. They wen't out of business in 1947 But it does seem more recent.
