Title: Export Tea Caddies
Post by: bokaba on May 27, 2017, 14:54:08
Hi Peter and Stan,

I was wondering if you could comment on whether my dating of these 4 export tea caddies is correct.

2 blue and white caddies, Kangxi/Yongzheng period, late 17th/early 18th century

Urn shaped caddy, late Qianlong period, maybe 1760s-1780s

Caddy with children playing, 1960s or later based on appearance of "CHINA" stamp and possible factory name

Thank you,

Bokaba

I split your post in two as it is easier this way for answering.

The underglaze blue tea caddies shown below seem to be 18th century export, about Qianlong reign.
