Title: 18th Century Export Bowl?
Post by: bokaba on May 25, 2017, 14:14:31
Is this an 18th Century Chinese export piece? If so, can the date be narrowed any further? It is about 8 inches in diameter. It appears to have some Imari type decoration as well.

Thank you,

Bokaba

Qianlong export porcelain. The reign was 60 years long, so it is difficult to pinpoint a more exact time. With some wares is better known on the receiving side of the wares. The shipping records are sometimes still existing, in the west, but little is knon in China in this view.

Thanks for your help Peter. Based on the diagrams in Tommy Eklof's book, it looks to be late Qianlong, about 1760s-1780s.
