Title: Possible Qing plate?
Post by: rarb on May 06, 2014, 02:02:30
Any thoughts on this blue and white plate appreciated.  Reticulated border (devil's work?), mouse? and grapes on border. Think mark is Qianlong, Qing dynasty.

Hi Rarb, this looks like Japanese to me and not very old, I can't help with the mark, maybe Peter can help.

Apocryphal Mark:  Daqing Qianlong

But, looks Japanese and seems to be printed.

Thanks.
Looked on the Gotheborg site, in the Fang-"Imitating Relic" section. Aside from the absence of the Fang character, the mark in No. 89 looks similar, to me.
