Title: Help with aging

Can anyone tell me how old this is?  It is in bad shape at the bottom and it is only about 3 inches tall

Looks like a snuff bottle to me.

I agree, it is a snuff bottle, missing its stopper, I think thats what it is called the top with spoon stopper, it looks old 19th century, but the bottom is an unusual mark.
