Title: Hand painted tea set question
Post by: Kaye on Mar 17, 2017, 18:08:04
Please can anyone tell me anything about the tea set - images attached. It serves 12 and it very light/ thin ceramic - egg shell? It was my mums, she bought it about 30 years ago from an antiques shop. The bowls and cups are hand painted on both the inside and outside. Thank you so much!

I recognized the shape of the mark, it is called " Cherry blossom " made in the 20's.

Thank you both, so it looks like the set is 1920s and Japanese, that's a great help. I will take another photo of the marks, and see if it is any clearer. Kind regards
